1. Continuous Product Execution
Healthcare AI Platform · North America · Series B
The situation
We partnered with the US based health care product company helping hospitals with clinical documentation and revenue cycle management , the company had a clear product vision, and a motivated internal engineering team. Their constraint was execution bandwidth. Feature delivery throughput could not keep pace with the company vision and the strategic product roadmap. The company already had a successful product in the market for multiple years and were successful with inroads with big hospital chins. The backlog was growing faster than it was clearing which led to limited bandwidth to focus on new product ideas that the company wanted to bring in to the market. Traditional ramp timelines were incompatible with roadmap urgency. The other directive the company wanted was the application needed to be scalable and performant with sub second performance.
What we did
Apiary deployed a focused execution Pod directly into the company’s product and engineering operation. The Pod joined sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and reviews from week one. End-to-end ownership was established at the workstream level not the ticket level. The Pod operated within the company’s established, rituals architecture standards, and release cadence from day one. Their existing product was on legacy technologies and wanted to have the new product on the latest tech stacks available. The alignment was set with the product champions from the company and we had our first mvp product demo for the client done in 8 weeks.
The next 6 months team was expanded to include engineers from the company and apiary’s resources and clear sprint and release cadence was set to delivering product enhancement every sprint. The process was replicated to add 4 more products over the course of next 4 years.

2. Scaled Platform Execution
Enterprise AI Software · North America · early stage startup
The situation
The company in the space of gen-ai for physician discovery and operational improvement space needed to build a platform that would build high efficiency scalable to the agents working with patient to connect them to the correct physicians while keeping the costs down. The scope required frontend, backend, and data services capability running in parallel. Building a parallel internal track was not viable within the delivery window. Traditional outsourcing was not trusted for a transformation of this business criticality as the requirement was in a flux and a lot of experimentation needed to happen on getting the right tool and mechanism.
What we did
Apiary began with a focused 2-engineer Pod to establish integration, validate workflow alignment, and confirm technical approach. The pod kept up with the changes in the priorities of the company’s vision and market alignment to deliver the first product deployed at one of the biggest hospital systems in US within 6 months. The pod diversified to add another product that would build more operational efficiency that would appreciate the core products overall value.
